Coptic Cross

The Coptic cross is a common symbol of Christianity in Egypt, and is used throughout Northern Africa. It is thought to have originated from Mark the Evangelist, the founder of Christianity in Africa. Original Coptic crosses featured a circle, representing God’s eternal love, and were very similar in form to the early Egyptian Ankh symbol.
